Digital Image Cafe Donates $1,800 to the Salvation Army for Hurricane Relief

Digital Image Cafe, the most popular photo contest/learning site on the WWW, donated $1,800 to the Salvation Army hurricane relief fund on the 7th. We also announced our September winners on 10/7.

(PRWEB) October 9, 2005 -- Digital Image Cafe, the most popular photo contest/learning site on the WWW, donated $1,800 to the Salvation Army hurricane relief fund on the 7th. We also announced our September winners on 10/7.

Digital Image Café a photography competition/learning site that has grown in three and a half short years, to be one of the most popular photography sites in the world, announced their September winners today 10/7/05.

The Café runs daily contest and post 12 winners every day. The daily winners are entered in the monthly contest and eight monthly winners are announced and receive prizes from our sponsors. The Café distributes over $60,000 a year in prizes. The monthly winners are chosen by the board at the National Association of Photoshop Professionals. The monthly winners are entered into a quarterly contest where seven winners are chosen each quarter by the editors of Shutterbug magazine.

Along with the many contest, the Café has a Critique Corner where members help members improve their photography and editing skills. Each member gets a 100 photo gallery and can purchase their own site. All this for $20 a year.

The Cafe and their many members from all over the world donated $1,800 for the relief fund set up by the Salvation Army for those injured and displaced during the 2 recent hurricanes to hit the Southern Golf Coast.
