Group Charges Stanley 'Tookie' Williams Refuses Even to Utter Names of Women and Men He Killed

KENSINGTON, Md., Dec. 10 /U.S. Newswire/ -- Throw Away The Key, a group that works to reduce violent crime, this morning wrote California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger again, this time pointing his attention to a new Newsweek online interview with unrepentant, four-time killer Stanley "Tookie" Williams in which the killer refuses even to utter the names of the women and men he murdered in cold blood, causing his attorney to swear in disgust at the reporter for exposing the reality of Williams. Also in the interview, Williams reiterates his evil vow never to help authorities solve past crimes by the Crips or prevent ongoing crimes by the violent gang.
"It would have been a disgrace for the Governor to have rewarded this unrepentant killer with clemency before this interview," said Michael Paranzino, president of Throw Away The Key. "Now it would be a scandal. Tookie Williams has chosen to protect his fellow killers and thugs, at the expense of the Black and Latino teens who continue to die because of his handiwork as mastermind of the violent Crips gang. The question is: whose side is Governor Schwarzenegger on?"
Interview excerpts can be accessed from the group's website: http://www.throwawaythekey.org/latestnews.php.
